Let’s talk about the journey.
As I say in my about, the concept for Don’t Get a Real Job started in 2012. In four years the concept has never changed. I want to help people become better.
Not to be too cocky (ok what am I saying, this ego is HUGE), I might know a few things.
Nope, I still haven’t created the world’s most successful online business. I’ve made a few bucks here and there, but that’s a story for another day. What I have discovered is that there is more to this than meets the eye. Oh, and all the cliches are true (I love cliches don’t you… when in Rome or something like that). And that there is no get rich quick… Hell there isn’t even a get rich tomorrow.
The struggle is real, but so is the journey.
And the best part of the journey? It’s not just growing a business or having a job you love anymore. It’s a complete makeover of your life, your beliefs, and everything you hold dear.
Yup, I’ve had a few lessons in life, love, happiness, and even… yup… business.
I’m going to leave my about as is for the time being. Here’s what has happened in 2016:
- I got out of a bad relationship.
- I moved… to Fargo, ND (Farwhere?)
- I quit my job and spent 3 months traveling and living off my reserves.
- I started a new job doing what I love (hello music), in my new town, and I’m not salary (so nobody owns me).
- I turned 30 and came to terms with my own mortality (we only live once. What are you doing with your one chance?)
I’m sure there are a few other things that I’ve forgotten.
With that in mind, we’re going to be covering a few things of course
- Business (duh)
- Love and relationships
- Mental Mindsets
As Rihanna would say, this is what we came for. The next post might have some actionable content. I’m not sure yet. Rambling and using parenthesis is fun.
Until next time, real jobs are for sissies. Don’t get one. Ever.
